Optical transient in UGC 2773 ; update

We update the light curve of an optical transient in UGC 2773.

[] 3C 454.3 : Bright up !!

The object has been bright since JD 2455160. The magnitude of the object in JD 2455164 was about 14.08 mag in V band. The polarization degree in V band was about 12 %.

[] Starting observations of SN 2009ls

We have performed the photometric observations of Type II SN 2009ls. SN 2009ls was discovered of 15.3 mag at NGC 3423 by Nishiyama & Kabashima (reported in CBET 2041). Since the distance modulus of the host galaxy NGC 3423 had been estimated of nearly m-M=30.8, we expected that the peak luminosity would apparently become bright. It suggests that this SN is a good target for exploring the observational property of the explosion. The spectroscopic observation have already been performed by Steele et al.2009 (reported in CBET 2049). It indicated that SN 2009ls is a very young Type II supernova. Itagaki (2009) also determined upper limit of 18 mag from the CCD observation (reported in CBET 2041). The peak absolute magnitude will be expected to ranged from 15 to 13 mag, from an absolute magnitude of a typical Type II SN. We will continue the photometric observations for SN 2009ls.

Although the object had recently been faint state, the object has been bright since JD 2455142. The polarization degree also has been rising, too.

[] Beginning the observations of Type IIn SN 2009kr

We have performed the photometric observations of Type IIn SN 2009kr. SN 2009kr was discovered in spiral galaxy NGC 1832 by K. Itagaki (reported in CBET 2006) on 2009 Nov. 06.730(UT). Thereafter, spectroscopic observations were performed by Tendulkar et al.(2009) (ATEL 2291) and Steele et al.(2009) (CBET 2011). They reported that the spectra show a featureless continuum with the narrow emission line of Hydrogen. These characteristics suggest that SN 2009kr is classified into the Type IIn SNe. The possible detection of the progenitor was reported by Li et al.(2009) (CBET 2043), from HST archival image. The progenitor may be the red star (V-I=0.9) with 25-30 solar mass. The light curve of a Type IIn SN is expected to become much broader than that of typical Type IIP SN. We will continue the observations of Type IIn SN 2009kr.

This figure shows the light curve and the temporal variation of the object in V band. The object has gradually been bright. The polarization degree of the object has been lower from 20 to several percents.

Optical transient in UGC 2773 ; update

We show the recent photometric results of optical transient in UGC 2773. The luminosity clearly show the brightening in BVRcIc-band. If this object is a luminous blue variable (LBV), the light curve would have decreased in the light curve. But, we confirm the increasing luminosity in the light curve. The light curve show the largest luminosity in the periods. We will continue the observations of OT in UGC 2773.

Type Ia SN 2009ig : update

We update the light curve of Type Ia SN 2009ig. The excess of the B-band light curve is still seen, but the luminosity is decreasing according to the time scale of radioactive decay of Co56.

Type II SN 2009js : increasing I-band luminosity in long time scale

We upadate the light curve of Type II SN 2009js. Its light curve show the increasing the I-band luminosity in long time scale. Such a plateau in the light curve in long time scale is corresponding to those of Type II plateau supernovae. Slowly rising in the I-band light curve indicates the long time scale of diffusion of the expanding atmosphere with the slowly expanding atmosphere. We will continue the observations of this object.

The object had been faded since JD 24555115. The polarization degree rise to about 17 %.

There are two spikes in the light curve in V band. There seems to be a anti-correlation between the flux and the polarization degree.

[] Nova in M31 2009-10b : update

We update the light curve of the Nova NM31-2009 10b. We confirmed the existence of the plateau phase in the light curve. In generally, the radiations from the continuum in the plateau phase would be related to contributions from the free-free emissions. We also confirmed the very slightly brightening in R-band, which is naturally thought to be caused by the strengthening the emissions lines of the H_alpha. We will continue the observations of this novae.

[] Type II SN 2009js : brightening in the I-band

We update the light curve of Type II SN 2009js. We confirmed the broadly brightening in I-band light curve, comparing with those of other bands. Since the rapid decline of the luminosity in bluer bands is not seen, we suggest that the brightening luminosity in I-band would not be caused by contributions from the near-infrared radiations of low temperature due to forming the dust in the SN ejecta. But, the B-band luminosity may be affected. In order to clarify the origins of the brightening in the I-band, we encourage the photometric observations in the near-infrared wavelength.

We update the light curve of NM31 2009 10-b. A bit plateau in the light curve of R, I-band is marginally seen.

[] Type II SN 2009js : update

We have performed the photometric observations of of Type II SN 2009js. The light curve show the slowly increasing in I-band and shallow declines in V and R bands. The B-band light curve show the rapid decline. These photometric results indicate that SN 2009js was classified into Type II plateau class. It is consistent with that spectroscopically identification from the report in CBET 1969.

The figure shows the light curve of the object in V band and V-J color variation. The object had been in bright state since JD~2455060, and has recently been faded. The V-J color became bluer when the object was faint.

[] Fe II nova V5584 Sgr : optical spectra

We took an additional spectra of V5584 Sgr on 2009 November 03. As can be seen in the figure, the object strengthened intensities of most of emission lines. The red continuum light observed on October 31 decayed. These results imply that a pseudo-photosphere would start to shrink.

[] Fe II nova V5584 Sgr : optical spectrum

We performed an optical spectroscopy of a classical nova V5584 Sgr (IAUC 9089, CBET 1999) on 31 October 2009. The nova showed Balmer lines and strong Fe II lines. Furthermore, a NaD line was seen associated with a deep blue-shifted absorption on a red continuum light. These indicates that V5584 Sgr is a typical Fe II nova affected by a large interstellar (or circumstellar) reddening.
