■ [LBV or SN ?] Optical Transient in UGC 5460 : Ks-band Observations
We performed Ks-band photometric observations on Oct. 18 using new optical and near-infrared camera "HONIR (Hiroshima Optical and Near-Infrared Camera)" in its tentative observations. The preliminary magnitude was estimated to be 13.9 +/- 0.1 mag. This indicates that the near-infrared excess does not strongly occur in the ejected material. We will observations in optical and near-infrared wavelengths.
We update the light curves of the optical transient in UGC 5460. The apparent brightness reached around 15 mag in Rc-band filter. This indicates that the absolute magnitude of this ibject reached -16 mag. This value is luminous than that of Eta Carina in the most luminous phase.
